The people who provide the still photographs, slide shows, video clips, and text for Featured-Creatures are highly accomplished professionals. All have been recognized in their fields. Featured-Creatures is very proud to be associated with them and to have them as an integral part of our team.
An inductee into DEMA’s Scuba Diving Hall of Fame, Marty Snyderman is a proud recipient of DEMA’s 2008 Reaching Out Award. Marty is an EMMY Award winning cinematographer, still photographer, author, and speaker specializing in the marine environment. As the Marine Life Editor of Dive Training magazine, Marty produces at least three columns in every issue, including the underwater photography column entitled "Behind The Lens" and a natural history column entitled "What’s That?"
Howard and Michele Hall
Howard and Michele Hall are perhaps best known for their underwater IMAX® films. In 1994, Howard directed the first underwater IMAX 3D feature, Into the Deep. In 1998, Michele produced and Howard directed the IMAX feature, Island of the Sharks, which was an enterprise of Howard Hall Productions. In 2005, they returned to the IMAX 3D format by directing and producing Deep Sea 3D, which was awarded Best Picture at the Giant Screen Cinema Association Conference and Best Large Format Film at Wildscreen 2006.
Jenny Storthz Boshears
A lifelong educator, writer, and editor, Jenny Boshears spent 20 years teaching English, composition, and creative writing to children from third through twelfth grades. Jenny has also been a writer and editor of correspondence at the White House, the Arkansas Attorney General's Office, and the Arkansas Governor's Office. She received a B.A. degree in English from Boston University and is presently employed by the Arkansas State University System Office.
